Rep. Knute Buehler

Representative Knute Buehler, MD is an Orthopedic Surgeon, inventor, and health care executive. He completed his medical training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Buehler is past President and managing partner of the Center for Orthopedic and Neurosurgical Care and Research.
He is the author of more than twenty scientific research papers and is considered one of the primary surgeon developers of computer assisted knee replacement.
Before his career in medicine, Dr. Buehler attended Oregon State University, where he played varsity baseball and was the first graduate ever to be awarded a Rhodes scholarship. He graduated from Oxford University in England with a master’s degree in politics and economics.
Dr. Buehler is married to Patricia Buehler, who is an eye surgeon in Bend. They have two children, Hannah and Owen.
